SYNOPSIS

First Indian road movie, the story centers around a group of young people, their sexuality and relationships, both homosexual and heterosexual. The film is about escapism, breaking away from the norms of society and looking for spiritual answers. Two gay lovers on a long car journey after a woman hitchhiker forces one of them to rethink his sexual orientation.

QUEER NOTES

A drag queen and his lover hit the road in the footsteps of 'Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert'. Shamin Desai, maker of 'Auroville 316', says, "Hindi films even now don't have a love-making scene. Having grown up on a diet of 'chiffon cinema' it will be a while before the masses are ready for homosexuality on screen." He finally didn't release the film, as he feared infuriated mobs would ransack his house.2

ACTOR/S IN QUEER ROLE

Kelly Dorjee and Dodo Burjwala (gay lovers)
