SYNOPSIS
Jaiprakash Paswan works in the film industry as a dance assistant. His wife Janki has divorced him and has been granted the custody of their daughter Bharati. Since Jaiprakash is not allowed by his erstwhile father-in-law Durgaprasad Bharadwaj to meet Bharati, he hatches a plan. He dresses up as a woman, Laxmi Godbole in the day and is employed as Bharati's nanny. But complications arise when Durgaprasad Complications arise when Durgaprasad gets sexually attracted to Laxmi and wants to marry 'her'.
QUEER NOTES
�Inspired� by the Hollywood hit �Mrs.Doubtfire�, this film is a laugh riot appealing to all classes of audience. What makes it special is the fact that South Indian superstar Kamal Hassan, who is considered actor par excellence, plays the eponymous role of the cross-dressing aunt. He says, "I loved playing the role. It was like looking at the other side of a chromosome."
