SYNOPSIS

Sham (Bobby Deol) escapes with a 30 crore diamond and hides it in a disused abandoned building, before being caught by the police. Happily sentenced to two years in jail, on his release, he is horrified to discover that the abandoned building is now a new police headquarters with his stolen diamonds forming part of the foundation. Enter his pal Guru (Shekhar Suman) dressed up in various different garbs and who dresses Sham up as a cop and sends him to the police station. Inspector Ram soon becomes the favourite of ACP Ranbir Singh (Paresh Rawal). But life is not that easy for the imposter who quickly comes to the attention of the ever suspicious Inspector Pande (Om Puri). Amidst all this mayhem Ram actually finds time to romance two women both of whom vie for his attention while two other criminals, who have caught wind of the news are also now in search of the diamonds.


QUEER NOTES

The hero�s pal Guru plays seven roles in this mad caper, to help his friend recover the diamond. Apart from playing a hippie, a don, a Sikh Punjabi, he also cross-dresses to play the hero�s mother, a prostitute and a stylish Madonna type of woman.
